Reward of up to $5,000 Offered in Investigation of 2024 Bank Robbery in Ocean City, MD
The Ocean City Police Department (OCPD) is urging the public to come forward with any information that may assist in identifying the person responsible for a bank robbery that occurred on October 25th, 2024, in midtown Ocean City. At approximately 9:10 a.m. that day, police say the suspect entered the Truist Bank on Coastal Highway and passed a handwritten note to the teller demanding money. After taking an undisclosed amount of currency, the suspect left the scene on foot and was last observed heading northbound on Coastal Highway. He is a white man, late 50s to early 60s, about 5’11 with an average build. During the robbery, he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, jeans, gloves, glasses, and a medical-style mask. Despite an extensive, year-long investigation conducted by the OCPD Major Crimes Unit, this person has not yet been identified. To advance this investigation, the Ocean City Police Department is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the apprehension, arrest, and conviction of the perpetrator of the armed robbery.

The armed robbery occurred on October 25, 2024, at 4604 Coastal Highway, Ocean City, Maryland 21842; and the payment of the reward shall comply with all regulations and restrictions set forth in Section 58-2 of the Town Code.ā The Mayor and City Council authorized the award through Resolution No. 2025-30.
