Blessings for Badges to Prepare and Deliver Thanksgiving Meals to Working First Responders on Thursday

There will be lots of activity at the Millsboro and Leipsic Fire Halls Wednesday night and Thursday morning as volunteers for Mountaire’s non-profit Blessings for Badges put together hot meals for every first responder that will be away from family at work on Thanksgiving.

Food, funding and manpower has been donated by restaurants and service organizations throughout Sussex and Kent Counties.  

More than 1000 hot Thanksgiving meals will be delivered to state and local police, fire departments, rescue personnel and correctional officers on Thanksgiving Day – with 535 meals being delivered in Sussex County and 530 in Kent County.
