Milford School Board Vice President Matt Bucher has filed to run as a candidate for 33rd District State Representative. He is filing to succeed Charles Postles who is retiring after the end of the current term. Bucher says he’s running because the 33rd District needs someone who knows how to fight, knows how to win, and believes, as he thinks most of you do, that “we need to speak our values clearly and protect our area’s interests when faced with a state government that doesn’t always seem to have us in mind.”

Statement from Matt Bucher:

This morning, 11/25/2025, with my wife and some close friends by my side, I officially filed as the Republican candidate for 33rd District State Representative. I will be running to succeed our beloved Rep. Charles Postles, who is retiring after this term.

In the years of volunteerism, service, and plain old-fashioned hard work I’ve done in and for our shared group of small town and rural communities, I’ve always tried to uphold and fight for the values we hold dear.

The reason I am running is  I believe we need representation in the 33rd District from someone who knows how to fight, knows how to win, and believes, as I think most of you do, that we need to speak our values clearly and protect our area’s interests when faced with a state government that doesn’t always seem to have us in mind. I also think, at this point in time, I am that person.

In the weeks and months to come, we will be having a conversation about where we are headed as a state, what we need to change, and who is most qualified to take your message to Dover. I look forward to speaking with you.

I’ll be working hard over the next year to earn your vote.
