One Injured in West Ocean City Cottage Fire

One person was flown to a Baltimore-area hospital after being pulled from a residential structure fire in a cottage on Old Bridge Road in West Ocean City Monday afternoon.

Ocean City firefighters were called to the cottage around 4:30 where they found an adult occupant inside who was unable to evacuate.

Investigation by the Worcester County Fire Marshal found the cause of the fire to be careless smoking in bed.
