UPDATED: Delaware State Police Investigating Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Hartly


UPDATED – 12/12/25 – Delaware State Police have identified 77 year old Jeffrey Holloway of Dover as the man who died in a fatal crash Wednesday morning in Hartly.

ORIGINAL STORY – 12/11/25 – Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving two vehicles yesterday morning in Hartly. According to police, on December 10th at about 9:00 a.m., a Honda Accord was traveling eastbound on Judith Road approaching Hartly Road. At the same time, a Ford Focus was traveling southbound on Hartly Road approaching Judith Road. Police say that the initial investigation indicates that the Honda pulled away from the stop sign, and into the path of the Ford. As a result, the front of the Ford struck the driver鈥檚 side of the Honda. The driver of the Honda, a 77-year-old man from Dover was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family is notified. The driver of the Ford, an 18-year-old girl from Hartly, Delaware, was treated at the scene but refused transport to the hospital.聽
