Delaware State Police Arrest Smyrna Man in Dover on 5th DUI Offense

Delaware State Police have arrested a 62-year-old Smyrna man for a fifth-offense felony DUI and related traffic charges after police spoke with the driver of a disabled vehicle Monday night in Dover. Troopers were dispatched to the area of Fast Landing Road and East Denneys Road where they located a Dodge Grand Caravan stopped in the middle of the road. The driver, identified as Bryan Debello, thought he was parked at a boat ramp. He showed signs of impairment, and police discovered that his license was suspended. Debello was taken into custody and driven to Troop 9, where he continued to display signs of impairment. A computer check showed he had four prior DUI convictions. He was charged with multiple offenses, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and released on an over $6,050 unsecured bond.
