Delaware Safety Council Receives $55,000 in Grants for Safety and Technology Upgrades
The Delaware Safety Council has received two grants totaling $55,000 to support expanded accessibility and technology upgrades. A $26,000 Welfare Grant will fund enhancements to the Circle of Safety Defensive Driving Course, including live narration and a sign-language version to better serve the hearing-impaired community. In addition, a $29,000 capital grant from Crystal Trust will support improvements to customer service systems and upgrades to classroom technology, including an interactive whiteboard to enhance student engagement and
participation.

DSC has been awarded $26,000 from the Welfare Grant to support the adaptation of its Circle of Safety Defensive Driving Course. This funding will enable DSC to expand its e-learning platform by introducing live narration and developing a sign language version to better serve the hearing- impaired community.
In addition, DSC received a $29,000 capital grant from Crystal Trust. This investment will allow DSC to improve its customer service and experience through the implementation of state-of-the- art phone and messaging systems. The grant will also fund upgrades to in-classroom technology, including the integration of an interactive whiteboard to enhance student engagement and
participation.
