East New Market Vehicle Fire Under Investigation

A vehicle fire which also damaged a home is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal. Firefighters from East New Market were called to Centennial Road in East New Market Monday afternoon around 2:30 and found a Jeep Wrangler on fire.

The owner of the home and vehicle discovered the fire which was extinguished in minutes by firefighters. 

Officials say the vehicle was parked close to the residence which suffered from heat damage to the outside of the home.

Damage is estimated at $25,000.
