UPDATED: Milford Police Arrest Suspect in Attempted Burglary at Local Bank
January 12, 2026/
UPDATED – 01/12/26 – Milford Police identified the suspect in an attempted burglary of the Del-One Federal Credit Union in Milford last Thursday as 26 year old John Carey, Jr. of Dover. Carey was arrested on Friday and charged with the following offenses:
- Attempted Burglary 3rd Degree (Felony)聽
- Attempted Theft $1500 of Greater (Felony)聽
- Criminal Mischief $5000 or More (Felony)聽
- Criminal Trespass 3
He has been ordered to have no contact with all Del-One Federal Credit Union locations and is being held in default of a $4050 secured bond.

Milford Police are investigating an attempted burglary at Del-One Federal Credit Union on Credit Union Way in Milford. The glass front door was damaged.聽 Officers responded to the bank today and through video surveillance learned that an unknown male attempted to gain entry into the bank using a rock, which caused a hole in the glass front door.聽聽
