Trucker Who Sexually Abused Minor Relative Sentenced to Over 27 Years for Child Porn in Delaware

An out-of-state trucker has been sentenced in the US District Court for the District of Delaware for transporting, receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material. David Morrison was sentenced by US District Judge Maryellen Noreika last Thursday. An investigation into Morrison began after law enforcement received 13 cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reporting that Morrison uploaded or attempted to upload child sexual abuse material to his various digital accounts.

Law enforcement learned Morrison was in Smyrna for work and executed a federal search warrant of his truck. About 164 media files were found after a search of Morrison’s phone – including images identifies as a girl who appeared to be Morrison’s minor relative, who when interviewed by law enforcement disclosed Morrison sexually abused her on multiple occasions between the ages of 6 and 11. She also confirmed that she was the child pictured in several of Morrison’s photographs.

Morrison was sentenced to over 327 months in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release. He will also be required to register as a sex offender upon release from prison.
