Delaware State Police Arrest Milton Woman for Robbery in Lewes


Delaware State Police have arrested a 41-year-old Milton woman in connection with a robbery at a Lewes Dollar General that occurred yesterday, January 13th. State Police responded to the store at about 7 p.m. The woman is accused of threatening employees implying she had a gun, stealing money, and then fleeing in a blue Ford Focus. She was later stopped in Lincoln and identified as the suspect. Shelly Sortino and taken into custody and faces felony charges for first-degree robbery and wearing a disguise during a felony, She was taken to Troop 7, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and is now at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $33,000 bond.
