17-Year-Old Shot in Cambridge, MD; Police Seek Public鈥檚 Help

Cambridge Police are investigating an incident in which a teenager was shot yesterday evening, February 18th. At about 6:18 p.m., Police responded to the report of multiple shots fired. When they arrived at the location—in the area of High Street between Washington Street and Lincoln Terrace–they found a 17-year-old male from Cambridge with a gunshot wound to the lower abdomen region. Dorchester County EMS transported the victim to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Cambridge. Maryland State Police Aviation then flew him to Shock Trauma.聽 Officers on scene located multiple spent shell casings. A residence in that area had been damaged from the gunfire. Currently there is no suspect information. Cambridge Police Department鈥檚 Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is conducting an ongoing investigation and police are requesting assistance from the community.
