Upper Ferry Resumes Normal Operations

Wicomico County officials have announced that the Upper Ferry has resumed normal operations as of 8:00 A.M. this morning following the completion of necessary maintenance. According to the Office of the Wicomico County Executive, the temporary closure allowed crews to perform essential repairs and upkeep to ensure the ferry remains safe, reliable, and fully operational for residents and visitors who depend on it each day. County Executive Julie Giordano says the County appreciates the public’s patience and understanding–adding that routine and preventative maintenance is critical to keeping infrastructure safe and dependable. She expressed gratitude to the team for their hard work in getting the Upper Ferry back in service as quickly as possible.
