UPDATED: Laurel Man Dies in Early Morning Crash Saturday

UPDATED – 03/01/26 -The Delaware State Police has identified 26 year old Yeyson Perez-Ortiz of Laurel as the man who died in a single-vehicle fatal crash on Saturday morning in Laurel.

ORIGINAL STORY – 02/28/26 – A Laurel man is dead after a single vehicle crash early Saturday morning on Laurel Road. Delaware State Police say the 26 year old driver was westbound on Laurel Road just before 2:30am when his pickup truck went off the road in a curve and into a deep ditch where it struck a tree and overturned onto its roof. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
