Vehicle Crash Knocks Out Power to Nearly 1000 DEC Members near Milton

Delaware State Police were called for a vehicle crash just after midnight Monday in the area of Gravel Hill and Neptune Roads near Milton. Police found that a Dodge Journey was traveling southbound on Gravel Hill Road and went off the side of the road colliding with a utility pole.
The 41 year old male driver from Georgetown refused medical treatment. He is charged with DUI and other offenses.
Delaware Electric Cooperative officials say nearly 1000 members in the Milton and Georgetown areas were without power because of the broken pole which crews are working to replace.
