UPDATED: Millsboro Man Arrested on Murder Charges

UPDATED – 03/23/26 – Delaware State Police has identified 72 year old Patricia Sulecki of Millsboro as the victim who was killed by her son on Thursday in Millsboro. ORIGINAL STORY – 03/20/26 – Delaware State Police were called to a home on White Pine Drive in The Pines at Long Neck community Thursday afternoon just after noon. A family member who ran from the residence called 9-1-1 and reported that 40 year old John Sulecki of Millsboro had a gun and shot a 72 year old female relative during an argument. Sulecki was arrested without incident – the victim found in the house with a suspected gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit learned that Sulecki and the victim were arguing and while in a back room in the house, Sulecki shot her.
Sulecki is charged with the following:
- 1st degree murder (Felony)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
Sulecki is being held at SCI in default of a $1,060,000 cash bond. The investigation is ongoing.
