Denton Deck Fire Under Investigation by MD State Fire Marshal’s Office

A passerby spotted a fire at a home on Burrsville Road in Denton just before 4:30 Friday morning and called 9-1-1 and alerted the residents to the fire.
Denton Volunteer Firefighters found a exterior attached deck on fire and had the fire under control in about 25 minutes.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating ā and provided the occupants with smoke alarms as there were none present in the home. Damage is estimated at $20,000.
