Two Vehicle Crash Sunday Night Near Salisbury Sends 6 to Area Hospitals


A two-vehicle crash Sunday evening just before 7 sent 6 people to area hospitals. Maryland State Police say the driver of a Toyota failed to stop for a red light at Route 50 and White Lowe Road west of Salisbury and collided with a Fiesta which was attempting to make a left turn from eastbound Route 50.

The crash caused the Fiesta to strike a light pole – the Toyota went into an embankment, overturned and struck a tree.

The driver of the Fiesta – a 46 year old female – was taken to a local hospital. Two passengers in the Toyota – a 17 year old and 25 year old were flown to a local trauma center, the driver of the Toyota, and 18 year old male and two additional passengers were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Maryland State Police continue to investigate this crash.Â
