Governor Meyer Appoints New Members to Delaware Interfaith Council


Governor Matt Meyer has announced new appointments to the Delaware Interfaith聽Council, the state body that brings together faith-based organizations and government agencies to address community and social issues. Governor Meyer thanked outgoing members for their service and emphasized the ongoing importance of religious communities in supporting Delaware鈥檚 social and civic life. The new members come from a variety of faith traditions, including Methodist, Episcopalian, Sikh, African Methodist, Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, Unitarian Universalist, and Baptist communities. The Council, reconstituted in January 2026 under Executive Order 15, serves as an advisory and action-oriented group focused on promoting equity, well-being, and public service across Delaware. Council members will lead working groups in priority areas such as health, housing, education, immigration, public safety, and economic opportunity.聽聽
