Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 04/08/26
Tuesday was sunny and windy with small craft advisories up all day and into Wednesday morning when we have a freeze advisory posted.
Lewes Harbour Marina told us it was another lonely day with no boats out and no fish on the cleaning table.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle did say they saw a few small stripers and a few tog caught from Indian River Inlet. The stripers were taken on bucktails or plugs at dawn, dusk and during the night. The tog were caught during the day on sand fleas.
Burt at Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m said he has seen a few boats go out, but no fish come back in. He did hear of a few flounder from Indian River Bay. He also reminded fishermen that with diesel fuel selling for over $5.00 a gallon the cost for a charter or a head boat trip will have to be more expensive in 2026.
