Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 04/09/26

Wednesday was cold and windy.

Patty at Captain Bones in Odessa recorded one of, it not the biggest, rainbow trout of the year. Randy Tyndall caught the Delaware Citation 8.64-pound monster out of Red Clay Creek on a Rooster Tail. It was not that long ago when Red Clay Creek was a dead zone where nothing lived. To see it cleaned up to the point where it now supports trout and other water wildlife is fantastic. She also checked in a Delaware Citation Rainbow Trout weighing 1.98 pounds for 12-year-old Weston Miller. He caught his citation out of White Clay Creek on a Power Bait.

Steve at Smith Bait recorded a Delaware Citation Crappie weighing 1.2 pounds for James Bell, Jr. caught from Derby Pond on a minnow.
