Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 04/11/26
Friday was a bit warmer than Thursday, but a small craft advisory was still posted and boats that tried to fish the ocean generally found the going rough.
Steve at Smith Bait in Leipsic said anglers soaking bloodworms or cut, fresh bunker at Collins Beach, Greens Beach or Woodland Beach are still catching striped bass above and below the 28 to 31-inch slot. Occasionally, a slot fish finds its way onto the beach.
Lewes Harbour Marina saw some flounder caught out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal.
Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m told us a few boats tried to fish the ocean, but all came in early due to the rough sea conditions and the slow tog action.
Old Inlet reported a few keeper tog were caught on sand fleas from Indian River Inlet. Striped bass were caught out of the South Pocket on swim shads with lead heads.
