Delaware Senate Approves Plan for K–12 Health Education Working Group

Legislation in Delaware, sponsored by Senator Laura Sturgeon, has passed the Senate requesting the Department of Education to develop a working group to support and improve K–12 comprehensive health education standards and programming throughout the state. The group will gather input from parents, students, school leaders, and agencies to recommend updates to Delaware’s health standards. The Department will then submit a report with findings, survey results, and proposed changes to state leaders. The bill now moves to the House for consideration.
