MSP Rescue Stranded Boater In Somerset County

Maryland State Police rescued a man while boating Friday afternoon in Somerset County. Police were called to a remote area in Dames Quarter Lake where a boater became grounded and began to experience a medical emergency. Because of the shallow, marshy water that was inaccessible to a vessel, a MSP helicopter was able to hoist the man safely from the area. He was flown to a local hospital.
