Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 04/21/26

I made my phone calls a bit earlier on Monday, but with small craft advisories up I didn’t expect many boats to be out on open water.

Lewes Harbour Marina confirmed my suspicions as they reported no boats left their docks. Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em did not answer the phone.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle did have some good news. Black drum were caught from the surf at Fenwick Island and 3Rs Road on sand fleas. Even better news was the capture of stripers at night or at dawn or dusk on bucktails, Bombers, SP Minnows or Wind Cheaters. The most productive color at night for the lures is black. The stripers are running between 25 to 35 inches which places a few in the 28 to 31-inch slot. With a bit of luck you could have a striper for dinner.
