DE State Representative Debra Heffernan Announces Retirement

State Representative Debra Heffernan announced Thursday that she will retire from the House of Representatives at the end of her term this fall. Heffernan has served District 6 since 2010 – and before that spent 5 years on the Brandywine School Board.

Heffernan has served as the Kids Caucus chair for 14 years and has watched it grow and be influential in policy affecting Delaware’s kids. She is the Chair of the Natural Resources & Energy Committee and Co-Chair of the Capital Infrastructure Committee.

She joins a growing list of General Assembly members and State officials leaving office in November.
