Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/01/26

Thursday was bright and sunny at the beach, but the wind was off the water and that put a chill in the air.

For those of us planning to fish the ocean for black sea bass on Friday; the water temperature is 51.8 degrees and winds will be northwest at 5 to 10 knots. The seas will run 3 to 4 feet. See you out there.

Lewes Harbour Marina said striped bass, flounder and blues were caught from the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal on Friday. The stripers and blues were taken on cut mullet while the flounder were caught on live minnows.

Dan at Dan鈥檚 tackle had an interesting report. One of his customers caught three black drum on three casts at dead low tide fishing with clams at Broadkill Beach. Otherwise, there were some big stripers caught on sand fleas and clams.
