UPDATED: Georgetown Man Dies from Injuries in May 1st Crash North of Millsboro


UPDATED – 05/29/26 – A crash on May 1st near the intersection of Bethesda Road and Avenue of Honor north of Millsboro has turned deadly. The investigation is continuing, however Delaware State Police say that the 18 year old driver, Pablo Pineda Pindea of Georgetown, who was hospitalized with critical injuries, died from his injuries on Tuesday.

ORIGINAL STORY – 05/02/26 – A single vehicle crash Friday morning on Bethesda Road just north of Avenue of Honor sent a Georgetown man to the hospital. Delaware State Police tell the Talk of Delmarva that around 11:45 Friday morning a Honda Accord was northbound on Bethesda Road at an apparent high rate of speed when the Accord went off the side of the road, struck a culvert which caused the vehicle to become airborne. The Accord hit a utility pole and overturned multiple times – the driver – an 18 year old man from Georgetown was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was flown to an area hospital with serious injuries.
