8th Annual Back the Blue Caravan Goes County-wide Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday – Still Time to Join!

The 8th Annual Back the Blue Caravan will travel county-wide over three days. The Caravan thanks the men and women in blue for their dedicated service to our community. There’s still time to sign up – Caravans will be on Route 1 on Tuesday, Route 113 on Wednesday and Route 13 on Thursday.

Each day’s Caravan will begin at Fenwick Island, Selbyville or Delmar at 10am and finish up at the north end of each route by 1pm – with stops along the way so that each car in the caravan can present a bag of sealed snacks at each police department – and a thank you note – the most important item.

Be sure to decorated your vehicle!!  There will be a prize for the best decorated car on each Caravan (decided by voting at each stop by the honorees). The car with the most votes overall on each Caravan – wins.

  • Tuesday, May 12 – Route 1 Caravan – we honor the following police: Fenwick Island, South Bethany, Bethany Beach, Ocean View, Dewey Beach, Rehoboth Beach, Troop 7, Lewes and Milton
  • Wednesday, May 13 – Route 113 Caravan – we honor the following police: Selbyville, Frankford, Dagsboro, Millsboro, Troop 4, Probation & Parole, Georgetown and Ellendale
  • Thursday, May 14 – Route 13 Caravan – we honor the following police: Delmar, Laurel, Seaford, Bridgeville, Blades, Troop 5 and Greenwood

You can sign up for any or all of these three Caravans, just let Drew Sunderlin (Caravan Founder) know which one(s) you choose.

Each car is to provide a “Thank you note” for each police department on your route AND sealed snacks like: power bars, granola bars, cookies, candy, packages of chips, etc. No unsealed gifts, please. The Thank You Note is the most important and, if there is more than one person in the car, you can split up the snack assignments.
