DSP Investigating Shooting in Laurel Saturday

Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting in Laurel after a 19 year old man arrived at Tidal Health-Nanticoke by personal vehicle with non-life threatening gunshot wounds just after 3 Saturday afternoon. Investigation showed the victim was shot in front of a residence by an unknown suspect on Portsville Road near Randall Street in Laurel.

The victim was driven to the hospital in a blue Mazda 3 by a man identified as 20 year old Alexison Amisial of Georgetown. Amisial and his car were found at a gas station on West Street in Laurel – and when contacted by troopers he was found concealing an untraceable gun in his waistband and arrested.

Amisial was arrested and taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with the crimes listed below:

  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon – Firearm (Felony)
  • Possession of an Untraceable Firearm (Felony)

Amisial was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3  and released on a $3,500 unsecured bond.
