UPDATED: Maryland Man Who Died in Crash Near Felton Identified

UPDATED – 05/12/26 – Delaware State Police have identified 80 year old Dennis Giles of Goldsboro, Maryland, as the man who died in the fatal crash that occurred Sunday in Felton.

ORIGINAL STORY – 05/11/26 – The investigation into a crash Sunday in Felton continues after the driver, an 80 year old Goldsboro, Maryland man died from his injuries at an area hospital. Delaware State Police have learned that a Kia Sorento was northbound on Sandtown Road near Will Grove Road just before 5pm when the driver passed two vehicles in a no passing zone and filed to negotiate a curve and went off the road – colliding with two unoccupied commercial trucks and trailers in a parking lot.

Police say the driver was not properly restrained – he died at an area hospital.
