Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/21/26
We had more summer weather on Wednesday and more wind as well.
Lewes Harbour Marina reported that the Katydid fished the Coral Beds off of Slaughter Beach on Tuesday evening catching seven black drum and keeping three. Private boats fishing there and off of Broadkill Beach caught anywhere from three to nine black drum also on Tuesday evening. Clams were the primary bait.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said they had no reports from Indian River Inlet or from the beach.
Dan at Dan鈥檚 Tackle on Route 1 in Milton told us big blues to 13 pounds are still active in the Broadkill River as far up as Oyster Rocks. Cut mullet seems to be the best bait. The Coral Beds off of Slaughter Beach has seen good action with black drum. These are smaller fish in the 30 to 40-pound class.
