Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/23/26

Friday was a weather mess. The wind was relentless and the temperature felt like it was winter again. Then it rained. If anyone went fishing, they were more dedicated than me. But look on the bright side. Small craft advisories will go down on Saturday to be replaced with a gale warning. Apparently, most folks have not heard the weather report, because I was stuck in traffic on southbound Route 1 between Five Points and Route 24 this afternoon.

Sometimes a weather weekend can be saved by fishing the beach or Indian River Inlet. This weekend seas will be running to 9 feet on Saturday and only drop down to 7 feet on Sunday. The east wind will flood the marshes and bring all the dead grass out into the bays and the surf just to make everything that much more enjoyable.
