Emergency personnel from the Ocean City Fire Department were called just after 2pm Sunday after a small aircraft went down in the Assawoman Bay behind Seacrets at 49th Street and the Bay.

A SeaRey, a 2-seater, single-engine amphibious flying boat landed on the water when one of the stabilizing floats detached. The aircraft remained somewhat afloat and fire officials say no injuries were reported.

Maryland Natural Resources and the Coast Guard are investigating.
