Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/06/26

Friday was a beautiful summer day and fishing was decent.

Dan at Dan’s Tackle reported that big sand tiger sharks have moved close to Broadkill Beach and have attracted shark fishermen with heavy equipment and big baits. For the rest of us, there are blues on cut mullet and croaker on bloodworms.

Lewes Harbour Marina said the charter boats brought back sea bass and flounder from ocean structure. Boats drifting the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal with live minnows caught keeper flounder.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier on Cape Henlopen State Park saw flounder to 18.5 inches caught on minnows. Spot and croaker taken on bloodworms.

Old Inlet told us blues were caught out of the Inlet on metal during incoming current.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said the Captain Bob had very close to a boat limit of sea bass.
