Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/13/26

Ok already, enough of this August weather in early June!

Dan at Dan’s Tackle on Route 1 near Milton said the heat kept the number of fishermen down, but those who did go up on Broadkill Beach caught spot and croaker on bloodworms and Fishbites. Big sand tiger sharks were taken on chunks of menhaden.

Lewes Harbour Marina told us the Portobello had sea bass and flounder from ocean structure. Private boats had the same.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen Sate Park said blues were caught during the morning high tide and hopes were high for a return during the evening high. Spot and croaker were caught on bloodworms and Fishbites during the rest of the day.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em reported that yellowfin and bluefin tuna were caught offshore.
