Saturday, we had decent weather and that brought out plenty of fishermen. Happy Father’s Day to all those fathers out there who are enjoying a fun day of fishing with their kids.

Dan at Dan’s Tackle said the usual croaker, spot and a few trout were caught at very crowded Broadkill Beach on Saturday. Some of his regular customers turned around and left due to the overcrowding.

Lewes Harbour Marina reported that boats that fished ocean structure returned with sea bass and flounder.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said it was a good day on the pier. Croaker and spot were caught on bloodworms or Fishbites. Sheepshead took sand fleas or green crabs close to the pilings.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us the Captain Bob had sea bass and flounder.
