Maryland State Police Investigating Two Separate Fatal Crashes On Eastern Shore Over Fourth of July Weekend

Two people were killed in two separate vehicle crashes on Maryland’s Eastern Shore over the Fourth of July weekend. The first crash happened around 10:15 p.m. on July 3rd on eastbound U.S. Route 50 at Mt. Holly Road near Easton. Police say 43-year-old James Demby of Cambridge was killed in a three-vehicle crash. Four others, including three 17-year-olds, were injured. Investigators say the Kia Demby was driving attempted to pass between a Subaru and an Audi before colliding with both vehicles. The crash closed Route 50 for more than three hours.
