Dover Man Sentenced to More Than 12 Years for Drug Trafficking, Gun Charges

A 38-year-old Dover man has been sentenced to 147 months in federal prison for drug trafficking and possessing a firearm in connection with drug dealing. U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Hall imposed the sentence. Prosecutors say Kyle Scott, who had previously been convicted of drug dealing, was investigated after law enforcement received reports he was selling drugs again. A 2024 search of his Dover home uncovered more than 300 grams of fentanyl, over 750 grams of methamphetamine, and three loaded firearms in his basement bedroom. Scott pleaded guilty to possessing fentanyl with intent to distribute and possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. Authorities say this marks his fourth drug-dealing conviction.
