Boat Fire in Dorchester County–Ruled Accidental

A boat fire occurred early this morning on Hoopers Island Road in Church Creek, Dorchester County. The fire, which started in the boat console area, was accidental and caused by an electrical event, according to the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal. No injuries were reported. The blaze caused an estimated $25,000 in damage.
