The Weekend

“The national gas price average, as well as the Pennsylvania gas price average hit $4/gallon this week for the first time in nearly four years as crude oil prices soar above the $100/barrel mark,” said Jana Tidwell, spokesperson for AAA Club Alliance. “Ongoing conflict in the Middle East and closure of the Strait of Hormuz have had a significant impact on crude oil and gasoline prices at a time when demand increase as spring break travel heats up. How high prices ultimately climb will depend on the duration of the conflict and whether additional disruptions to global fuel supplies emerge.”
