Arrest Made Following Domestic Assault in Milton


A domestic assault that happened in Milton late last night led to the arrest of Terry Travis. According to Milton Police–at just after 11 p.m., officers responded to the incident at a home on Federal Street. Upon arrival, officers found the victim fleeing the scene on foot, suffering from severe head trauma and bleeding heavily. Emergency medical services promptly arrived and provided initial treatment before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital for further attention. According to the investigation, Travis had struck the victim in the head with a glass bottle during a verbal altercation, causing a severe injury and bleeding. Officers arrested Terry Travis at the scene without incident and charged him with first-degree assault, possession of a deadly weapon during a felony, and interfering with emergency communications. He was subsequently arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 7 and is now at the Sussex Correctional Institute on a $40,100 bond.
