Berlin House Fire Under Investigation

Berlin firefighters were called for a residential fire around 11 Tuesday morning on Sinepuxent Road. Crews arriving at the scene found fire coming from all sides of the single story home. The Worcester County Fire Marshal’s office investigated and say the fire began in a bedroom where a single occupant was sleeping. That occupant was taken to an area hospital for minor injures sustained while jumping out a window to safety. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The residents are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
