Boaters Can Now Pass Under Mispillion River Drawbridge in Milford – What to Do…

mark-levin-promo

Now that the Mispillion River Drawbridge has been returned to service, DelDOT reminds boat owners of what they must do to pass through the open span. At least 24 hours in advance, boat operators wishing to transit between Milford and points east of Rehoboth Boulevard need to schedule a bridge opening by calling DelDOT’s Transportation Management Center (TMC) at 1-800-324-8379

Before re-opening earlier this month, the bridge had been closed to road traffic for more than six months to repair damage caused by truck collisions in December 2021 and December 2022.  And for most of the last 18 months, boats on the Mispillion River have been unable to travel beyond the bridge as transportation engineers were uncertain if they could successfully open and close the drawbridge.
