For the second time this week, first responders are on the scene of another airplane mishap in the Ocean City area. This time a small plane, a Vans RV-7A, flipped over around 12:05 p.m. after landing at the end of Runway 14/32 at the Ocean City Municipal Airport.

City spokesperson, Jessica Waters, tells WGMD the pilot began to have engine trouble shortly after takeoff and called back to the airport to announce an emergency landing.  The plane ran off the end of the runway and flipped over on its top.  The pilot who was the sole occupant was able to extricate himself, although he was described as disoriented – he was taken to PRMC in Salisbury with non-life threatening injuries.
