Bridgeville Man Arrested for Robbery in Seaford

A 31-year-old Bridgeville man has been arrested following a robbery that occurred yesterday evening in the area of N. Front St and Poplar St. The victim saw that the man later identified as 31-year-old Shawn Warren of Bridgeville appeared to have a firearm and made him give him the book bag, which contained personal property, a cell phone, and money. He told officers he was able to track the cell phone’s location. The cell phone locate feature indicated the phone was at 221 N. Front St. in Seaford. Seaford Police units and Delaware State Police units responded to the home and found the man wearing a red jacket who advised his name was “Shawn.” Warren was detained at that time. Further investigation revealed that Warren had a black BB gun in his waistband, the victim’s wallet with identification, and the victim’s cell phone on him. Warren was charged with Robbery 2nd Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Warren was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and given a $6,200 secured bond.
