Bridgeville Man Arrested on Drug Charges

Delaware State Police say they have arrested a 28-year-old Bridgeville man on numerous drug charges.

Troopers say members of the Sussex Drug Unit conducted a two month long investigation culminating in the arrest of Jevontae L. Dale. Their investigation uncovered that Dale had been selling narcotics from his vehicle, a black 2010 Nissan Altima. Members of the Governor’s Task Force observed Dale walking from his vehicle in the area of Church Street and North Street in Bridgeville and took him into custody without incident.

A search warrant was executed on his vehicle and found 64.91 grams of crack-cocaine, 34.6 grams of powder cocaine, 168 bags of heroin, 4.2 grams of marijuana, 11 – 20 mg Oxycodone pills, A loaded Taurus .22 caliber revolver, A loaded and reported stolen Ruger P85 9 mm handgun, over 1,500 dollars in suspected drug proceeds, numerous rounds of ammunition and drug paraphernalia.

The suspect charged with 2 counts of Possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 5 quantity, 2 counts of Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 4 quantity, 2 counts of Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, 2 counts of possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, receiving a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dale was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on 126,502 dollars bond.
