Cambridge, MD Police Investigating Attempted Carjacking

Cambridge Police are investigating an attempted carjacking that happened at Burger King on Ocean Gateway. Police responded to that location around 9:42 p.m. on January 19th. The victim told police that two Black males, about 20 years old, wearing black clothing and face masks, approached his vehicle after leaving the store. One of the men displayed a handgun and attempted to rack the slide while the other opened the car door and ordered the victim out. The victim locked the doors, and the individuals fled toward the back of Burger King, possibly toward Royal Farms. Employees reported that the two arrived in a white SUV—possibly a Volkswagen with a full sunroof and a rear-mounted spare tire—and entered the restaurant before the incident.
