Camden Man Arrested for DUI & Firearms Offenses during Traffic Stop by Dewey Beach Police

A Camden man was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop in the area of Coastal Highway and Rodney Avenue by Dewey Beach Police. The driver was identified as 46 year old Gregg Daddio of Camden, Delaware and police detected signs of impairment and a strong odor of alcohol as police approached the vehicle. Daddio told police he did have a firearm inside the vehicle, but did not have a valid concealed carry permit. The weapon was secured by officers on the scene. Daddio refused field sobriety testing and was arrested for DUI and the following offenses:

  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon (Firearm) – Felony
  • Possession of a Firearm While Under the Influence – Misdemeanor
  • Driving a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol and Drugs – Misdemeanor
  • Failure to Signal Continuously Prior to Turning (<300 feet) – Violation
  • Improper Turn – Violation

Daddio was committed to SCI on an intoxication hold.
