Camden Teen Arrested on Gun and Drug Charges


A 17 year old male from Camden has been arrested by Delaware State Police on felony gun and drug charges. Members of the Kent County Drug Unit, Governor’s Task Force and State Police SORT Team executed a search warrant at a residence on East Camden-Wyoming Avenue in Camden on Wednesday after an investigation of the 17 year old for distribution of drugs.

The teen was detained in the residence and a search of the residence led to the discovery of the following items:

  • 2 9mm Glock “ghost guns”
  • Polymer Glock lower receiver
  • 3D printed handgun switch
  • 9mm ammunition
  • Approximately 0.24 grams of heroin
  • Approximately 0.10 grams of crack cocaine
  • Digital scale
  • Drug paraphernalia

The 17-year-old was arrested and taken to Troop 3, where he was charged with the crimes listed below:   

  • Possession of a Firearm by a Person Under 21 (Felony) – 3 counts
  • Possession of Ammunition for a Firearm by a Person Under 21 (Felony)
  • Possession of Destructive Weapon – Machine Gun/Weapon Adaptable for Use as Machine Gun (Felony)
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony) – 2 counts
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

The teen was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Stevenson House Detention Center.
